Considering at-home testing more broadly, we discuss key considerations for selecting an at-home test. Although providers were not always specific in terms of internet speed/bandwidth, most of the exams would appear to require reasonably fast and stable connections to support audiovisual test content and remote proctoring. And despite the strict and elaborate security measures that have become standard in in-person administration of high-stakes exams, occasional yet substantial breaches still occur (e.g., IELTS, Keung, 2018; TOEIC, Main, 2016) and remain a cause for concern.
